Creating is giving birth, allowing a feeling or an idea to guide us in order to make it palpable, understandable to the world, and so to transform it into a material. Artists have existed throughout time, and they have always represented a certain period, a style or a human atmosphere. Despite all that, the fact of properly delivering and immortalizing an artwork would have been almost impossible for many artists without the help of crafstmen. This is what this movie is about. 

Indeed, I tried to illustrate the critical role of smelters in the unique works of both the outstanding designer Vincent Dubourg and the sensible sculptor Jacques Owczarek. While talking about the artist's creations, I was willing to go, for once, towards those who have been left unshown for too long, the forgotten. Opening the doors of noble and precise craftsmanships, trying to understand the meanderings of these anthills in which arise beautiful pieces before their introduction to the world, such were my intentions while catching these images. Within the slowness of a frozen Auvergne, letting Vulcain’s heat danse.
